Golf

A variety of golf courses await on Spain's Costa Blanca. Each representing a different challenge and at the same time offering year round golf free from the cold, wind, rain. With temperatures typically 16-19C in January and February this is often the best time to visit us for a short golf break.

here is a selection of the local courses. We will of course add more updates as we ourselves find explore further.

Club de Golf Ifach San Jaime | Map | Web | Tel: 966 497 114

The closest course to our villas is the Club de Golf Ifach. This is a short 9 hole course of par 30 (60). Technically the course is a good test of accuracy with the irons. Parkland style with fantastic views of the Penio de Ifach.

Advisable to book in advance as often busy in the mornings. Late afternoon is a good time for a "quick 9 holes".

A stunning course moulded in to a valley above Altea. Beautifilly manicured 9 hole course with two sets of tees make for a true 18 hole experience.. Several long holes (14th being over 600 yards uphill) that can be quite daunting for the beginner.

Booking essential (max 2 days in advance for non members) and proof of handicap required

Villaitana Poniente Benidorm | Map | Web | Tel: 966 813 013

Formerly Raul de Faula course, the Poniente is the shorter of the two courses at Benidorm's Villaitana hotel and golf complex. Set amongst beautiful pine valleys this course is a great challenge for all levels of golfer. Don't be fooled by the par 62 a great degree of accuracy is required to hit a good score and to avoid frequent visits in to the ravines.

The Levante is the championship course at Benidorm's Villaitana hotel and golf complex. PGA style course this a great test of golfing ability and also the legs. This course is a long walk!

Several testing holes particularly the Par 3's which require accurate 200 yard tee shots. some water awaits but with a little care you can leave your snorkel for the beach..

Oliva Nova Denia | Map | Web | Tel: 902 223 329‎

Stunning 18 hole course North of Denia. Designed by Seve himself. Don't be put off by the 6300m or the fact there is water on 15 out of the 18 holes as the course is suitable for most golfers.

Handicap certificate is required. The course is a great challenge and whilst buggies are available the course is fairly flat making for a nice walk
