Attractions

A variety of activities are available and within easy reach of our villas. With Benidorm only a 25 minute drive, all of its attractions such as Aqualandia, Terra Natura and Terra Mitica are close at hand and are perfect for a family day out. Numerous sandy and pebble beaches can be easily reached either by car or short walk.

Mountain walks, horse riding, shopping, karting, snorkeling, jetski, windsurfing, boat hire are all close at hand. Here are some options:

Guadalest

No trip to the region is complete without a drive up the winding mountain road to Guadalest. From the motorway and turning for Caloss d'en sarria, take the road through Altea La Vella. A stunning view awaits from the castle at this picturesque mountain top village. Some great little shops and several minature museums can also be found in the village. Continue along the mountain road to Benifato where lunch can be taken at one of the mountain's roadside inns. Return along the new CV-70 road to Benidorm stoping at La Nucia on the way..


Coll De Rates

A great day out in the mountains with lunch at the top of the mountain accompanied by fantastic views of the coast from Denia to Javea: Drive through Benissa towards Senija and on to Xalo (Jalon). Stop at Xalo and visit the Bodega's where wine is on tap for less than 1€ per litre. Drive on to Alcalali and then left to Parcent. Drive through Parcent and head up the mountain road. The restaurant at the top of Col de Rates serves day time lunch and has stunning views. Continue on to Tarbena a typical spanish mountain village. Return via Calossa d'En Sarria.


Parque Natural de la 'Albufera

A day trip North. Take the motorway towards Valencia taking the turning to Cullera (hard to miss given the name is painted in huge letters on the side of the hill). Stop off in Cullera and visit the The medieval Castle and sanctuary of La Mare de Deu del Castillo. Continue North along the coast road where just beond the turning for El Palmar it is possible to stop the car and take a boat ride around the L'Albufera lagoon. Turn back and visit El Palmar for lunch in one of the many Spanish restaurants.


Javea and Cap de la Nao

a day out with something for everyone. Start the morning by heading through Moraira and Benitaxell towards Cap de la Nao and the beach at La Granadella. After a swim retrace the route and head out to Cap de La Nao to see the lighthouse and stunning views of the 120m cliffs and Ibiza on a clear day. Returning towards Javea stop off for the short walk at Potitxol for views of the Island of Portitxol and across Javea boy and Montgo. Return to Javea for a late lunch on the sea front followed by some afternoon shopping.


Cuevas de Canalobre

Drive South towards Alicante taking the exit for El Campello, then head North on the N-340 towards Jijona. Shortly take a right and drive passed the Bonalba golf course and on to Busot. Contine on to the Caves. A small entrance fee and access tunnel takes you inside the mountain to view the fascinating rock formations. Music concerts are often performed due to the sound properties of the 150m cave.


Alicante & Valencia

Our villas sit almost half way between the cities of Alicante and Valencia and a day trip to one or both cities can be accommodated during a two week stay. As you would expect both cities have wide ranging shops including stores such as El Corte Ingles. In Alicante be sure to walk around the sea-front esplanade and visit the the Castle of Santa Barbara. In Valencia the old town around the Plaza del Ayuntamiento with its trendy shops, café's and cathedral.


Moraira & Festivals

Close at hand is the small village of Moraira. Relax on the sea front near the castle or in one of the sea front cafés and bars. Spend a day on the Ampolla beach. Vist the market on Friday morning. Take to the karting track at Font de Santa. Visitors in mid June will be able to witness the fiesta of the Moors and Chrisitans where the whole town dresses up to celebrate culminating in the traditional firework display.
